The club secretary in 1982-1983, instigated and organised the Ruahine Mountain Marathon 1988, created the Kaweka Challenge event in 1990, was on the Kaweka Challenge organising committee 1990-2002, created and set the Smedley Medley Long O events 1992-1996, was on the APOC organising committee 1994 and coordinator for the three APOC events held in Hawk’s Bay.
